WDS Radar’s GaN Pulsed S-Band Amplifiers patented techniques have eliminated the need for heavy, bulky heat sinks, fans, or cooling liquids.  Energy dense, they have the highest power to weight ratio, 2.8 Kw at 13.1 pounds, in the industry and are easily combinable for higher power requirements. Their small form factor, 12.5 x 12.2  x  2.5, and light weight make them ideal for ground or airborne radar, ECM, EW, and test and measurement.

High-performance, high-reliability, and long life were key design goals in the development of WDS Radar’s Solid-State Doppler Weather Radar Orion Series. WDS designs & builds every major RF component within every Orion radar system utilizing the latest in electronic and microwave device technology.  The Orion Series is available in S-Band, C-Band, X-Band, single or dual-polarization.
